  • Ford Foundation 1440 Broadway New York, NY, 10018 United States (map)

The “Building a Racially Just and Strategic Domestic HIV Movement” meeting will convene in New York City from July 20-21, 2017. This meeting, convened by the Counter Narrative Project and Positive Women's Network - USA, will be an intimate, facilitated conversation designed for people of color decision makers in HIV organizations.

This meeting will address two central questions:

  1. How do we actively move towards advancing a racial justice frame for the HIV movement?
  2. Which political, power-building, and movement-building possibilities become available to us if we commit to:
    • (a) meaningfully linking grassroots organizing with HIV policy advocacy and
    • (b) sharing our resources more effectively, efficiently, and transparently?

The convening is supported with funding from the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the Ford Foundation.
